The orientation of effect pigments can be improved by using a rheology-modified wax that has been specifically developed for this purpose.
The following wax additives modify the rheological properties. They act as anti-settling agents for solids such as effect pigments or matting agents, consequently improving storage stability. Wax additives are also suitable for improving the orientation of solid particles and thereby achieving a more uniform metallic effect (flip flop) or a more homogeneous matt finish.
