The byko-test 8500 film thick­ness gage has a mod­u­lar design to accom­mo­date a wide range of appli­ca­tions. Mul­ti­ple sen­sor probes are avai­l­able for max­i­mun flex­i­bil­ity. Coat­ing thick­ness can be mea­sured on a wide vari­ety of metal sub­s­trates: iron, steel, cop­per, alu­minum, zinc, brass, and tita­nium.

With all impor­tant func­tions needed to mea­sure and eval­u­ate the thick­ness of non-metal lay­ers on metal sub­s­trates. Basic sta­tis­ti­cal func­tions, mem­ory for up to 100 read­ings, optio­nal wire­less con­nec­tion to a PC and data trans­fer to Excel.

Pre­mium ver­sion

Enhanced mem­ory func­tions, batch mea­sure­ment with up to 13000 mea­sure­ments in 200 batches, mem­ory for up to 100 cus­tom cal­i­bra­tions, soft­ware and wire­less data trans­fer, aver­age zero adjust­ment for rough sub­s­trates, sin­gle and conti­nous mea­sure­ment modes included.

Wire­less Sen­sor

Wire­less Sen­sor for areas dif­fi­cult to access with inter­nal and exter­nal sen­sors. The new wire­less sen­sor for the byko-test 8500 is built for all appli­ca­tions requir­ing a small sen­sor with­out direct con­nec­tion to the instru­ment.

byko-test 8500 wire­less sen­sor has a long last­ing rechar­gable bat­teries, a broad reach of 12 m and is avai­l­able as sin­gle or dual sen­sor.

Thick­ness Stan­dards
For con­trol and inspec­tion pur­poses indi­vi­d­ual shims or sets of thick­ness stan­dards are avai­l­able, see page 195.

Cer­ti­fied Cal­i­bra­tion Shims
These plas­tic shims (PG-3740 / PG-3741) aid in the cal­i­bra­tion of thick­ness gages on fer­rous or non-fer­rous metal­lic sub­s­trates. Plas­tic shims can be used to cal­i­brate on the actual test sub­s­trate.
