PosiTector 6000
The PosiTector 6000 film gauge series measures coating thickness on any metal. These rugged, fully electronic gages utilize the magnetic principle to measure non-magnetic coatings on ferrous (F) substrates, and the eddy current principle to measure non-conductive coatings on non-ferrous (NF) substrates. These gages are available in three different versions with the features listed below: basic, standard, and memory. According to different application needs, BYK-Gardner offers various models with either a built-in or separate probe. Separate probes are interchangeable with each other and can be ordered separately.
Basic Models
- Mutiple calibration adjustment oprtions - 1 or 2 point, known thickness
- Easily adjustable to any known thickness
- Indicator light confirms a reading was taken – great for noisy environments
- Flip display allows for right-side-up viewing no matter how one is looking at the gage
- Wear-resistant sapphire probe tip
- Solvent, acid, oil, and water resistant
- Protective probe cover with V-notch slides open to provide stability while measuring
- Mils/microns switchable
- Average ZERO feature; ideal for rough or curved substrates
- Illuminated backglow for dark environments
- Two year warranty
- Built-in temperature compensation ensures accurate measurements
