Innovative process control reports make your live easier!

BYK-Gardner - worldwide partner of the automotive, paint and plastic industries for quality control of color, appearance and physical properties - is announcing new data analysis reports in their innovative software smart-chart: scorecards as well as trend reports with drill-in functionality.

In order to guarantee uniformity over time and be able to proactively take measurements before color or appearance is starting to drift, process stability has to be controlled. Therefore, a representative number of readings have to be taken and large data sets need to be analyzed. The software smart-chart offers innovative data analysis reports which are so easy to set up that statistical analysis actually becomes a fun project and valuable time for data crunching will be saved.

Test Report for single test series

Showing the measurement data for a single test series, this report is ideal for color harmony reviews. The product schematic quickly shows where the “problem areas” are. Additionally, the data is displayed as a line or color travel graph including tolerance lines according to the specifications set in standard management.

Scorecard with drill-in charts

This report gives a quick overview how production is running over the selected time range and can be used as a Management Summary Report. An easy-to-read data table is showing the average of all selected test series. The layout of the table can be customized with a pivot function.

Trend Report with drill-in charts

Trend report is a typical process control chart showing the measurement data over time (by day, week, month) or by individual. It can be used for production or batch process control. A trend comparison report even allows comparing e.g. production against batch panels or body versus add-on parts.

All reports can be printed or sent by email and all data tables can be easily exported to Excel.

Besides this, the BYK-Gardner smart-chart software offers the following benefits:

  • Color and appearance data in one data analysis software
  • Powerful “Standard Management” to define all essential color and appearance control parameters with Pass/Fail tolerances.
  • Set-up of “Organizers” for clear sample identification and menu guided operation on the instrument.
