Phase separation is a serious problem that affects polyol systems containing chain extenders. To date, customers had to prevent the separation by continuous mixing and / or by adding the components shortly before usage, for example right on the construction site. But now they have the chance to ease the handling of their polyol blends – by using the new T.A.P.E. additives BYK-P 9908 and BYK-P 9909! These additives based on an innovative technology – T.A.P.E. stands for “Twin Amphiphilic Polymeric Emulsifier” – improve the emulsion stability and provide the opportunity to economize the production of the blends by transferring one on-site processing step to the systems houses.
