Fabrication d’une barbotine céramique à l’aide d’un Speedmixer

Une barbotine composée de 75 parts d’Al2O3 et de 25 parts d’eau entraînera la formation d’une pâte à forte viscosité. Si une part de liquéfiants (additifs mouillants et dispersants) est ajoutée à la formulation, le mouillage et la dispersion des particules solides, s’en trouveront considérablement améliorés, et nous obtiendrons une suspension à faible viscosité. L’utilisation conjointe de billes de broyage en oxyde de zirconium permettra d’optimiser la dispersion et d’obtenir une barbotine sans agglomérats.

Preparation of a ceramic press granulate

A liquefier is used to produce a low-viscosity ceramic slurry from aluminum oxide and water (speedmixer, with grinding beads).
The grinding beads are separated by filtration and then defoamer, binder and pressing agent are added whilst stirring. By spray drying the press granulate is produced from the liquid slurry and a cyclone separates the coarse particles.
A press is used to manufacture the green body from the press granulate.

Producing a ceramic tape on a casting line

The ceramic slurry is fed to the casting line using a special pulsation-free pump and is then applied onto a carrier foil using a wide slot nozzle. The wet slurry film runs through a drying zone and is then wound up.
The ceramic tape can easily be separated from the carrier foil. A typical application example of ceramic tapes are multi-layer ceramic capacitors (MLCC) which are widely used on modern electronic circuit boards.
