BYK inaugurates new mini-plant in Shanghai

In mid-August, BYK officially opened its new mini-plant in Shanghai, China. This state-of-the-art facility allows BYK to provide its customers with faster, more flexible, and customized additive solutions. It is a key strategic component of the company’s global production network.

The new mini-plant has highly flexible production capacity tailored to local needs. It can thus meet the rapidly changing demands of the Chinese market in particular. With an annual production capacity of 500 metric tons, the facility manufactures silicone-based and silicone-free additives, as well as wax additives, for a wide range of industrial applications.
