BYKETOL is the tradename for a family of surface additives from BYK. BYKETOL additives prevent surface defects and improve the leveling in various systems, mainly coatings. Using BYKETOL additives the production of bubble- and boiling mark (pinhole)-free coatings is possible. There are silicone-containing and silicone-free types available, most of them providing an additional defoaming effect. BYKETOL includes surface additives for water-based and solvent-borne systems. The specialty BYKETOL-PC reduces the drying-out of pigment concentrates and rounds off the product family.
