The fundamental properties are derived from the chemical basis, the melting point and the polarity of a wax. Modifications and the subsequent manufacturing methods also influence the end properties. Micronized wax additives are products in powder form with an average particle size between 4 μm and 15 μm. Special types for creating textured surfaces can have particle sizes up to 90 μm.
