Grand opening ceremony at the BYK location Gonzales

Gonzales/Texas, February 2020

BYK inaugurated its newest production and research facility in Gonzales, Texas in February.

The flexible manufacturing facility produces high-quality organoclays and GARAMITE additives. These products are specialty rheological additives that bring important benefits to customers around the world and in a wide range of applications.

In addition to the new production facility, several other major investments were made at the Gonzales site:

• New research & development center
• New wastewater treatment plant
• New evaporator and thermal oxidizer
• New boilers, air compressors and centrifuges

These projects were also planned and built with a view to the declared corporate goal of being CO2-neutral by 2025.
