Health, supply reliability, closeness to customers

Dear Customer,

With an eye to preserving your interests, BYK is observing and assessing with great care the trends fueled by COVID-19. The object of these measures is to protect the health of our employees and customers and to safeguard supply reliability at the level you have known and come to appreciate. There has been no flagging in our endeavors: Top priority has been given to our supply reliability and to the health of our employees.

From the very first day, BYK has taken the situation very seriously, and has prepared and protected all teams to the best possible extent by implementing far-reaching protective measures, rules of conduct, and training programs to break potential chains of infection.

With respect to supply reliability, BYK took an early opportunity to stock up its storage capacities worldwide and has secured itself an excellent basis thanks to its decentralized, global production structure and regional suppliers. Having replenished our own, your customers’, and distributors’ stocks in the face of high incoming order levels in the first quarter of 2020, we are now experiencing a decline in orders that we are handling appropriately and sensibly. This also involves analyzing and, if necessary, temporarily adjusting our production, logistics, and other processes. We are still unconvinced that there can be any serious forecasts with respect to the extent of economic restrictions in our sector over the medium term. Yet we are convinced that BYK can fulfill your customers’ demands for innovative additives at all times.

Even during the COVID-19 crisis, you can continue benefiting from our closeness to customers. We can always be reached by our customers – still personally, albeit virtually. This holds true both for small group discussions and for wider-reaching customer WEBseminars.
