BYK officially opened its second manufacturing facility in China, expanding existing premises with laboratories and administration in Shanghai.

Congratulations to our BYK colleagues at the Denekamp, Deventer and Nijverdal sites: They were able to renew their EcoVadis certification and thus continue to carry the gold label! EcoVadis certification is now a fixed element on our path toward sustainability. In addition to BYK Netherlands BV, BYK Germany, BYK USA and BYK Great Britain also have gold status.

150 years of BYK= 150 years of focus on innovation: We start our anniversary year with a success story in terms of sustainability. Our BYK production site in Shanghai has been equipped with a solar plant covering around 2,000 square meters.

The next success story in terms of sustainability: BYK USA Inc. receives EcoVadis Gold status!

BYK USA is the fourth BYK company to receive EcoVadis Gold status - following BYK Additives Ltd. (UK), BYK Netherlands B.V. (Netherlands) and BYK-Chemie GmbH (Germany). BYK USA Inc. is thus among the top 5 percent of companies certified by EcoVadis. We are proud!

BYK-Chemie GmbH has been awarded gold status by EcoVadis, the world’s largest assessment platform for sustainability. This puts BYK-Chemie GmbH among the top 4 percent of companies in the industry rated by EcoVadis.

BYK-Chemie GmbH is now the third company within BYK to undergo an EcoVadis assessment. The two companies BYK Additives Ltd. in the UK and BYK Netherlands BV. also achieved gold status in the past.

At the beginning of next year, Dr. Christoph Schlünken will hand over his Management Board responsibilities to Dr. Tammo Boinowitz.

Sustainability is an important aspect in the development of new products. In addition to the product’s direct properties and effects, questions regarding environmental impact, chemical basis, and energy consumption often play a significant role too.

This year's BYK Live Event is over and we are happy about so much international interest: More than 4200 viewers from over 95 countries were present!
